Custom research, designed around your questions. Not a template. Not off the shelf.
Our Philosophy
Every project we take on starts the same way: we listen. We want to understand what you’re trying to decide, who your audience is, and what you’ll do with the findings before we design a single question. That understanding is what separates a useful study from an expensive one.
We don’t use off-the-shelf panels or pre-packaged methodologies. We design each project from scratch – drawing on 21 years of experience and a close eye on what’s actually working in survey research right now, including how to protect data quality in an environment where that’s increasingly hard to do.
Our Services
Our primary offering. We design quantitative research projects – surveys and polls – built entirely around your specific objectives. We pay close attention to data quality every step of the way. This includes questionnaire development, sample design, fielding, data analysis, and a final report that translates findings into clear recommendations. Every element is custom; nothing is templated.
Our Services
When you need depth, not just scale, qualitative research is the right tool. We design and facilitate online focus groups and bulletin boards – structured digital discussions that uncover the “why” behind what your data shows. Online qualitative is particularly effective for reaching youth audiences, where in-person group dynamics can suppress honest responses.
Our Services
In-person focus groups remain one of the most effective ways to explore complex topics with nuance. We design and oversee in-person qualitative studies, typically in partnership with specialized field agencies. We recommend traditional focus groups when the subject matter benefits from face-to-face interaction, or when client teams want to observe firsthand.
Our Services
Our reports are built for decision-makers, not statisticians. When the research design calls for it, we also apply advanced techniques — including regression modeling, conjoint analysis, and discrete choice models. All findings are presented in custom reports that reflect your organization’s priorities and culture.
Five stages. Senior researchers at every one.
We start by understanding your objectives, your audience, and the decisions your research needs to support. This isn't a form — it's a conversation.
We develop a project plan: methodology, sample design, questionnaire structure, and timeline. We draw on the best available tools — and flag any data quality risks before fieldwork begins.
We manage the full data collection process, keep you updated on progress, and apply rigorous quality checks throughout. You don't have to wonder what's happening with your study.
We analyze findings using methods matched to your research design — from basic cross-tabulations to advanced statistical modeling. The goal is always insight, not output.
Our final reports are custom-built for your audience. We present clearly, answer your questions, and stay available as a resource after the project closes. The relationship doesn't end with the deliverable.
Our Mission
If your organization improves the well-being of young people, we are built for you.
Youth research demands more than a standard survey approach. Young people – particularly children and adolescents – respond differently to question framing, respond to social desirability pressures, and require different methodological safeguards than adult populations. Getting it right takes experience. It’s what drives us.
We have particular depth in education research and youth risk behavior studies – including work on substance use, health behaviors, mental health, and adolescent decision-making. Our researchers are widely quoted in national media on youth issues and are recognized across the industry as specialists in this space.
We work primarily with nonprofits, foundations, and mission-driven companies that serve youth. If that’s your organization, we’d like to talk.
Tell us what you’re trying to learn. We’ll tell you how to get there.
